Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and YapTube, a sole proprietorship based in India ("YapTube", "we"). By installing or using the YapTube browser extension or this website, you agree to them.

1. The service

YapTube is a browser extension that adds a shared chat, and related features such as predictions, polls, profiles, friends, private messages and rooms, to YouTube watch pages. YapTube is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to consent to these terms where you live. If you are under 18, use paid features only with a parent or guardian's permission.

3. Accounts

You can chat as a guest or sign in with Google. A signed-in account has a unique handle. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may reclaim a handle that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark or breaks these terms.

4. Rules of the room

Do not use YapTube to:

• harass, threaten or bully people, or post hateful content;
• post sexual content involving minors, or any illegal content;
• spam, advertise without permission, or run scams;
• share other people's private information;
• impersonate another person or a YapTube staff member;
• attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or cheat its Sparks, predictions or limits.

We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules, with or without notice.

5. Your content

You keep the rights to what you write. You give YapTube permission to store, display and deliver your messages and profile to other users as needed to run the service. Chat in video rooms and global chat is public to other YapTube users.

6. Sparks

Sparks are points used inside YapTube for predictions and similar features. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold or redeemed for money, and may be changed or reset.

7. Paid plans

Super Yapper and Mega Yapper are monthly subscriptions that unlock extra features. Prices are shown on the Plans section before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Payments are not refunded when you cancel; the details are in our Refunds & Cancellation Policy. We may change prices or plan features; price changes apply from your next billing period, and we will tell you in advance.

8. Availability and changes

YapTube depends on YouTube's website, which can change at any time, and on third-party services. We may change, pause or end features. We try to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Disclaimer and limit of liability

YapTube is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, YapTube is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using YapTube at any time by removing the extension, and you can ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any consumer rights you have where you live.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use YapTube after a change means you accept it.
